Apple always follows a phased approach for rolling out its products in different countries. It is no surprise that all the latest Apple products are first launched in United States and then subsequently are available in other countries. Of all countries, Apple products launch painfully late in Asia-pacific regions especially countries like India and China. For Apple fan boys in these countries, the only option to get their hands on Apple products is either via the black market or through friends in US

Facebook Pages have become one of the most important feature from Facebook. Large and small businesses, blogs, celebrities and what not, almost everyone has a Facebook Page these days. A Facebook page is the opportunity for these entities to engage with their fans by providing a common platform. The popularity and the social media ROI on Facebook is pretty much calculated solely on the behalf of how engaging the Fan page is and how many followers does it have.

Facebook among other things is one of the largest photo sharing site. Facebook is now quite famous for rolling out small but noticeable features on a continuous basis. Moreover, the features are not rolled out to the complete user base at the same time but in batches. I have been noticing the Facebook Photo Tagging feature which was launched in July for sometime.

I am not sure if one should take this piece of information as the failure of Live Spaces or the growing dominance of WordPress platform but it is happening. Microsoft and WordPress.com announced that WordPress will become the default blogging platform for Windows Live.

Ever since Twitter introduced the ‘Lists’ features, there have been multiple opinions on the usefulness of it. Personally, I have found them very useful to categorize people just like I would do through my Facebook and LinkedIn contacts etc. Given the importance of twitter for blogging, lists also prove very useful for many things with multiple use-cases. For eg: For multi-author blogs, a twitter list could be created for all the authors who contribute to the blog, for keeping a track of people who are known for breaking news etc.

Of all things good with Twitter, the power of twitter in increasing traffic to blogs is now a well known fact. The importance of twitter for blogs/websites can be gauged from the fact that most of the blog owners now create separate accounts for their blogs apart from their personal accounts. This helps in reducing the clutter of links in the personal timeline and most importantly helps develop a focused community around your blog on twitter just like Facebook Page.

Let’s face it. If you are a blogger, you probably understand the importance of social networking for getting traffic for your blog. Facebook with its 400 million odd users is a phenomenon in itself and the recently launched Open Graph project has made Facebook a very important place to share your blog posts. The Facebook ‘Like’ button is now available at almost all blogs you read and it is very helpful for your blog for multiple reasons.
